I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of California San Diego, CA, USA. I am working in the area of wireless communications under the supervision of Dr. Nuria González-Prelcic in WiSeCom Lab. We were previously with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at North Carolina State University, NC, USA.
My research interests include signal processing for wireless communication with particular focus on mmWave systems, sparse methods for channel estimation, integrated sensing and communication, wireless localization, full-duplex systems, and applications of AI/ML.
Prior to joining Dr. Prelcic's group, I was with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Turkey, where I have obtained the BS and the MS degrees in 2018 and 2021, respectively. I worked under the supervision of Dr. Gokhan M. Guvensen. We have published several papers related to interference-aware hybrid beamforming architectures and their integration with code-domain NOMA.
I am a regular reviewer for IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, IEEE Access, IEEE Communications Letters, IEEE Wireless Communications Letters, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology and Physical Communication.
I am married to my loving wife Yagmur since June 2020.
